Sergi Escandell is a freelance underwater cinematographer, topside cameraman and drone pilot with over 15 years of experience filming wildlife documentaries, feature films and commercials. His clients include BBC NHU, Disney+, National Geographic, Netflix, TwentyFourSeven, Palma Pictures and others.

He co-wrote, co-directed and filmed underwater for Wild Spain, The Tale of Two Brothers & Wildlife Filmmakers, broadcast by Arte TV, TVE and other international channels.

Specialised in filming marine wildlife of all sizes, Sergi is equally skilled in high-energy sequences and in technical shoots using rebreathers, time-lapse, or macro. He also films people out and underwater, creating cinematic lighting setups.

Certified commercial diver and rebreather diver, he offers underwater kit rental (for Arri, Red, Sony, Canon, Phantom) and licenses a growing library of stock footage of marine animals and ecosystems worldwide.
